I am just grateful for this chance to be alive and breathing. I am, I will be, I was. Self awareness. I exist, and I one day will become....extinct. But for now I am alive, and for now I can think, and for now I can be, and for now I can become. But now has just become then, and it slipped away without even saying goodbye, and I will never see now again. So cherish these fleeting stepping stones through time, because soon enough, we will be on the other side.....to which all of this will be forever gone. Tick...tock...tick...tock...tick..........Anyways, I am an avid hiker/mountain climber and kayaker and love getting lost outdoors for a day, the only place where anything makes sense and the noise of this world leaves me alone. I am very thankful for being alive at this point in history where there is still forest to get lost in. As much as I love Europe, there are no forest there, I have tried to get lost over there, but as soon as you walk into the woods, you come out the otherside in about 10 minutes. This is about one of the only things I like about this country, it has the one of the last great wildernesses, no where else in the world will you find the vastness of wilderness that we have here in North America. So get out there and enjoy it before it's gone. Just try to paddle out into the middle of a lake in the middle of nowhere, ecspecially surrounded by mountains, and just recline on your kayak, and try not to melt into the scene, I bet you can't do it. It's so real, visceral, and organic, and is so nice to just unplug from society. The magnitude of how alone you are, away from everythig, is the drug that will keep you coming back. I have the most amazing, beautiful fiance in the world, she is the most giving, unselfish person I have ever met, and I am very lucky to have found her. I love you babe. I am very politically and socialibly aware and have an addiction to educating myself on everything under the sun. There is so much to know and learn in this life, I don't know how anyone wouldn't want to educate themselves everyday. With everything I do, I find time to read and learn about what I am required to know as an American, what is required of any American. So there is no excuse for anyone else to be uninformed and have the philosophy of 'Let someone else take care of it'. I can't stand when someone says that they don't care about politics or that they don't like it. It's not supposed to be liked, it's not a fucking hobby, it's what you are supposed to know as an American. If you don't know about your government and who has control of your rights, you aren't some cool person who is above it all, you are stupid and lazy. Knowing politics isn't an attribute of the intelligent or the college educated, it's what every American is supposed to have knowledge of.
