About Me

Steve Hamilton was born in Portsmouth in 1966. He started playing saxophone at age 14, and went to music College in London when he was 18. Steve has toured and recorded with bands & artists as session player since 1988 and began writing music to picture in the 1990s. Steve has written and produced many successful World Wide commercial campaigns. Highlights of his career to date include Scoring 2 Anglo-Canadian Feature films and many Documentaries for The BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and numerous satellite channels and Web Sites. Steve won The New York Film Festival music award in 2003, Best Film at 48 hour Film Challenge in 2004 and The Baghdad Blogger - the ongoing series for Newsnight - won a RTS award in 2005. Steve is also a member of The SAS Band, as well as a member of The Disconauts since 1999- a DJ , horns and percussion group based in Ireland...
