Launching Sweety is an up-beat, pop/rock band whose insightful lyrics and creative chord progressions are reminiscent of a 60..s sound with the energy of today..s music.Each member contributes to the song writing process, drawing from a wide variety of influences including The Beatles, REM and Aerosmith to produce a diverse yet unified sound with an emphasis on melodic vocal lines with tasteful harmonies. All four members are capable of providing strong lead vocals, which allow the band to choose the right voice for each song. When blended, their contrasting vocal styles provide the perfect vehicle for the Launching Sweety sound.Although they currently play in the pub circuit, Launching Sweety is still very much an original band and they play many of their original works mixed in with the songs that inspired them. Their self titled album has received a generous amount of air play on local radio stations as well as in Washington State where KISM..s Pooner Clark interviewed them on his show ..Locals Only... He later recommended them to his colleague Bob Carter who featured their album in its entirety on his show ..Midnight Snack...One particular career highlight for the band occurred in September of 2005 when they played three nights at "the most famous club in the world.. The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England.
