funf

Funf is an experimental project with five musicians who are also knob twiddler, sampler types.---------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------Each piece is started as a "seed track" created by one member. it is then emailed to the next member with no information besides BPM's (beats per minute). The next member does his business on the track and sends it to another member... And so on and so on until every member has a go at the track. ----------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------Beyond this, there are no rules. sounds may be added, taken away, recut, destroyed, reassembled, or completey changed.------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------------acoustic and electronic instruments, as well as samples, may or may not be a part of any piece.------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------- The individual members of funf are all multi-instrumentalists who play in many live bands. They are proponents of using the studio as an instrument. As a result, funf compositions tend to evolve a little more like live band pieces. Members of Funf have played, or currently do play with, such bands as World's Greatest Sinners, Sutra, [munk], Specimen 37, Logan 5 & the Runners, Tiger Saw, Christians & Lions, Gato Malo, All The Queen's Men, Ziaf, Paula Kelley Orchestra, Buck Dewey, the Gerry Barrett Swing Orchestra, and countless others.
