Want to see a cool force of nature? ...the clouds slice around Mt. Kinabalu. Usually clouds just smother around a mountain, but in Borneo they swirl into circular tubes, giving that spaghetti look you see in the pics. the moutain is actually forcing the clouds to form into a new shape!!!!
Wow. on a humid night at a rooftop bar in Kuala Lampur, I was drinking Tiger beer, talking about traveling in Bali...when the international crowd said, "that's only where the tourists go."
They were heading to the Perhentians. I never heard of the place, but at 4:00 a.m. hopped on a bus with one of them and headed in that direction.
By far, it's the best beach I've ever been to in my life.

Leaving Thailand:
We're at the equator...
so I might go to viewpoint 2 tomorrow...a place where you can see the sunrise AND the sunset from the ocean.
It's an amazing experience...to see the world go full circle.

"Monsoon! Monsoon!" That's what I heard when everyone was running for cover. And i thought "really? this is a monsoon? it's pretty cool. i've never been in 1 before." So fact is...I was probably the only person, in the entire world, actually in the Andaman Sea on September 14, 2007. At least the only 1 laughing and having a good time.
