About Me

Dean has been performing bass accompaniment in various musical projects around the NYC area for the past 20 years. These ventures have varied from a 10 year stint in a jazz big band, orchestra pit work for various amateur musical productions to italian and irish traditional music groups.Of course, we can not forget the many singer/songwriter and rock and roll bands he's had the pleasure to work with in these many years. Among them being: The Twenty % Tippers, Andy If, Too Cynical To Cry, Maura McCabe, Alan Bennet, Justin Robert James, Jayah, The Tuscan Duo, Peter Carucci, Chasing Sunday, The Romantic Exiles and currently, Allen Gogarty and the WADDS (this writer might add.... a great band!)He has also studied electric and stand up bass with Michael Max Flemming and spent 2 years studying jazz theory, ensemble playing and bass technique with the great people at Jazz Mobile in Harlem, NYC. Jesus! Sounds like a lot, I know, but wait.... there's more.More recently, Dean has hooked up with a bunch of other music geeks to form the band "Dean and The Travellers". This is where he gets to live out some childish fantasy of being a rock version of Vic Damone. That's right! Singing and playing the guitar. The Travellers (Wilson Montuori, Jonnie Miles and David D'Arcy) have been together since 2005. Writing songs? Yes, but also performing some lesser known covers by various performers. No... not Vic Damone... but sometimes close... I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
