Pastor Alvin V. Freeland is the Organizing Pastor of Family & Friends Christian Worship Center 410 Mother Gaston Blvd in the heart of Brownsville in Brooklyn, New York. The church were healing is taking place and lives are being changed. Family & Friends now in its 8th year of ministry focused on those that are hurting and don't know where to turn especially those hurt by people within the church. Pastor Freeland teaches to trust emphatically in God and Him alone understanding that the assignment for every Christian is not within the walls but outside the walls of the worship house.Pastor Freeland is also has a music ministry truly blessed by God that has taken him around the world, to the recording studio and to work with some of gospel music’s most well known and loved performers.In 1996 he recorded his first solo project which was self titled and released on the Music Quest/Benson label. To further express his musical talent 1994 he wrote, directed, produced and starred in his theatrical production “Good Old Time Religionâ€Pastor has been touring Europe since 1995 starring in his gospel productions titled “Harlem Christmas & Gospel At It’s Best.†He has a 13 year standing tour of Vienna and countryside of Austria with his new creation “Gospel The Way It Ought To Be†where he was well received with standing ovations nightly.Pastor Alvin Freeland is considered to be an authority on the history of gospel music and its impact on American culture. Though this expertise he has been afforded the great opportunity of conducting several workshops at home and abroad. He continues teaching vocal technique and the history of gospel music in seminars and workshops as well as privately.His greatest joy is singing and performing with his singers, who travels with him both home and abroad.God has bless him once again to record his latest solo project entitled "Taking It Back Home with Hymns & Songs of Solace". Released on BKLYN Gospel Music Group (an independent label) which feature hymns of the church and some hand clapping and foot stomping traditional gospel music.Pastor Alvin Freeland’s goal is to continue to travel all over the world preaching, teaching, singing and ministering to people of all walks of life telling them of our loving Savior, Jesus Christ the risen King.
