Jaye Delai has been bringing passion to every facet of urban radio and media since the late 80’s. In Radio, he’s been a Sales Exec as well as an Award Winning Morning Show Host. He’s been heard in such cities across America as Houston, Montgomery, Mobile and now midday personality with WQNC Radio One Charlotte.
In Film, Jaye co-created Alwayz BIG Productions. An innovative businessman and gifted writer, he co-wrote and produced one of seven scripts to his credit, his first feature film, “The Messageâ€. His on screen success got the attention of Film Directors Doug McHenry and The Late George Jackson, landing him a role in the motion picture Jason’s Lyric.
His comedic genius began to shine, he moved to the stage to perform in nationally recognized venues like “The Hip Hop comedy stop†in Houston, Texas. Jaye has been the opening act for such acts as Jay Lamont, Rickey Smiley, and Bernie Mack. His stage work continued in a featured role in the National hit stage play “Men Cry in the Darkâ€.
Jaye’s versatility took him to television, successfully endorsing product campaigns from Ford to Time Warner Cable.
In 2003, Jaye formed Voice Of A Nation Media. He as been the voice of such nationally syndicated shows as “The Bobby Jones Gospel Countdownâ€, and he voiced The NASCAR Diversity training program. Currently, he is the voice of the Yolanda Adams Morning Show, heard in over 25 cities in the U.S. As a former athlete with a love for sports, He set his sights on the NBA. In 2006, Jaye Delai became the voice of the Charlotte Bobcats.
Jaye Delai, who attended Texas Southern University, is a sought after public speaker. He regularly addresses audiences from youth organizations, public and university students to corporate execs and community leaders.
His interests extend far beyond the world of media. Jaye spends a great deal of his time and considerable energy working for social, political, and philanthropic causes. His love for children leads him to proudly serve as the Official Spokesperson for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte. Along with his wife Monica Robinson-Delai and their children Taylor, Khalil and Anisah, he founded Jaye Delai’s 101 Steps 2 Success Foundation. The organization is dedicated to the realization of human potential mind, body and spirit. It provides assistance and opportunities to disadvantaged kids in the United States.
In his 20 years as a broadcast veteran, actor and comedian, Jaye Delai lives his life by the belief that a man's legacy is not what he acquires, but what he deposits in others.
