Shane and Hunter had been friends since 1994. They met through Hunter's older brother, Nick and immediately began writing music together. In 1999 Shane had begun recording his solo album, "The Elegant Slouch", at a private studio in Franklin when a friend invited him to attend a rehearsal of a local band, Cold Roll. Shane was instantly drawn to the group's drummer, Kris Biggs, and invited him to the studio to hear his solo material. A week later, Kris was re-introduced to Hunter(they knew each other from school), left Coldroll, and the threesome formed The Ugly Muggs. After nearly two years together, the Muggs decided to split and try some new and different things individually. A few short-lived side projects were formed but, as fate would have it, Shane, Hunter, and Kris quickly realized they could only be happy when playing music together. They reunited in the spring of 2006 as Black Market Peepshow and the result is a perfect, harmonious blend of each of the members' personal styles. A groovy fusion of funk, rock, jam, and psychedelica that's guaranteed to make you shake your booty. Black Market Peepshow is a band with a little something to please almost anyone.
