visit the store I was born in a small town near the Baltic in North Germany, where I spent my childhood. After having lived in Cornwall. UK between 1999 and 2007, I have now returned to Hamburg. It is an exciting time being in a metropolis, after so many years living in the quietness of the countyside!I have been painting for the last 17 years.My paintings have a lyrical and light quality, and are often veiled in a mist.I feel drawn to use white as a colour, which somehow seems to connect me to my childhood memories of being surrounded by the purity of snow as well as waves.I have a particular passion for Japanese art, including paintings and ink drawings, Zen Gardens as well as the simplicity and power which echoes from Haiku poetry. I am also intrigued by NaÃ¯ve, Outsider and Folk Art from around the world and I love colour!
