MissMatch - NEW VIDEO!!Emma Göransson and Carin Ekroth is MissMatch! They have known each other since they were four years old. Going to the same school, dating the same boys and dancing to the same music made them inseparable. They both knew that they wanted to be singers and entertainers at a young age and they stood on every stage possible to make others understand it too.In their teens they started working with different songwriters and producers and some years later also as backing vocalists and dancers. They have been on tour in Sweden and around the world, backing up several of Sweden’s top artists. This was the perfect time for them to figure out their own style and genre. Pop was too sweet and rock was too hard, so they wanted to combine those two. But the keyword is a great attitude! After a couple of years with recording songs they met two producers, the Cocktail Studios, who they loved, and it clicked! They started writing songs direct for MissMatch and as a true team the act and sound began to develop..Their song “Drop Dead†was sent to the Swedish Eurovision Song Contest and was taken out for the show. When MissMatch did their debut in the contest, it was with a new attitude to the competition. The song, as well as the girls and their message, really stood out. With there dance friendly electro-rock these ladies are making new paths and they wont compromise. It’s not something women in 2007 do.-The show has a huge audience in Sweden and it feels great that we can participate with a song that stands out a bit. It has a not so typical lyric and show and we are able to do our own thing! Being different and having some dirt under your fingernails is good.The lyric to “Drop Dead†has a very strong MissMatch vibe. Take control over your life and make things happen yourself, don’t sit and wait for someone else to fix things for you. It actually reminds them of how they have worked their way to the top. So stop sitting by the phone waiting for it to ring, make the call yourself!When you talk to MissMatch about influences you don’t hear the most typical answers. The girls mention everything from there university studies in gender, to clubbing. Think Jane Fonda meets Prodigy. Add two smart and self-assured young women with a strong will and you have MissMatch. It’s about chick-rock for the dance floors with as much attitude, as heart and brains.After the Eurovision, MissMatch has released their debut album “Just Push Playâ€. It’s full of songs you can’t sit still to and reviewers around Europe have shown great response!
