Books:

Anything by Clive Barker or Dean Koontz, the first two books by Brian Keene, Barb and J.C Hendee, Max Brooks, S.A. Swiniarski, and various comics. If graphic novels count, anything Frank Miller or Robert Kirkman (ZOMBIES ROCK!!!)

Heroes:

Clive Barker (should've seen that one coming), Chris Gardner (see "Pursuit of Happyness"), Spider Man and anyone willing to do the right thing. As for personal heroes, there's my mother (who's put up with more $#!+ than anyone else I know), my best-friend/neighbor Heather, my brother-from-another-mother James (haven't heard from him for a while, but he knows he can call me when he needs me), my Hispanic-clone Daniel for pushing me to my limits in High School, and Marbella for forcing me to stalk my dreams.
