With death comes rebirth. And with rebirth comes renewal, cleansing and rejuvenation. What had been a struggle for four individual musicians has become a unified, driving force. Four separate backgrounds, four separate musical influences, one vision.SNUBNOSE 32 began in late 1997 when Jeremy D‘Ambrosio (vocals) and Ryan Schwiebert (guitar) disbanded Moment of Truth. Schwiebert and D’Ambrosio picked up where Moment of Truth had left off -- at the start of the new metal surge. They had experience opening up for bands such as Manhole, Type O Negative, Snot, System of a Down, Guttermouth and X-Cops (GWAR). They then hooked up with Mark Hartz (drums), who joined after his departure from his band Flux. The band then found Mike McLaughlin (bass), who had moved to San Luis Obispo from Phoenix, AZ after playing with Teichiku/Rockarola artists, Intrinsic. With the addition of McLaughlin, the SNUBNOSE 32 line-up was solidified.With the release of their new full-length album, isolation, SNUBNOSE 32 has reestablished itself on the underground metalcore scene. The band's first release, Demo 98, took what was then a young vision and made it accessible -- garnering new fans with every performance. The new release, isolation, features the raw heaviness and depth of SNUBNOSE 32’s music while expanding on the talent and creativity that was evident in the band when it released its Demo 98 ep. The growth in between releases is evident on every track on the album, from the redone versions of songs on the six-song demo to the new tracks created by SNUBNOSE 32. With its second release, SNUBNOSE 32 stuck with the D.I.Y. movement, but took it a step forward by pulling in recording guru Michael Mellenger. Mellenger harnessed SNUBNOSE 32's energy and was able to capture the band's raw power on tape.After recording Demo 98, SNUBNOSE 32 used the release as a promotional vehicle to help build the band's following as they began touring the West Coast. SNUBNSOE 32 quickly found itself quickly accepted amongst the bands and fans that make up the metalcore community. SNUBNOSE 32 has performed in such places as Los Angeles (Troubadour, Roxy, Whiskey A Go-Go, Coconut Teaser ), San Jose (Cactus Club), Ventura (Ventura Theater), San Diego (Brick by Brick), Santa Barbara, Bakersfield, Vacaville, Fresno, Sacramento, Oxnard and their home base of San Luis Obispo County, while supporting such acts as Snot, Stanford Prison Experiment, Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer), Simon-Says, Pro-Pain, Pissing Razors, Society-One, Straightfaced, Juice, Insolence, Laundry (ex-Primus drummer) and Papa Roach.In addition SNUBNOSE 32 has received critical acclaim from numerous magazines, fanzines and e-zines. SNUBNOSE 32 is receiving airplay on international airwaves, stretching from The U.S. to New Zealand to Belarus. Demo 98 recently charted at No. 5 on the Punk/Metal/Noise play list for San Jose State University's radio station KSJS 90.5 FM.The Internet has pushed SNUBNOSE 32 beyond the West Coast scene and into the depths of the world wide web to reach new fans. SNUBNOSE 32 has done features with mp3.com, the Gauntlet and the Killjoy Circus e-zine, among others.SNUBNOSE 32 band members can currently be found promoting the release of isolation and writing new material to increase the diversity of the band's set. SNUBNOSE 32 will continue playing the California circuit to broaden their fan base...
