I am 35 years old and have been teaching special education for the past 10 years, and still loving it. I am married to an incredible country boy who is THE jack of all trades, and have twin stepdaughters who are 15, an 9 year old, and an almost 2 year old. I juggle home and school, girl scouts, teaching, managing the house, and chasing a 2 year old who talks and runs, and am successful some of the time :)Teaching junior high is stressful but there is never a dull moment. With all those hormones flying around plus the teenage attitudes (which in my old age I have decided have gotten worse), you have to be strong and have a great sense of humor. But I can without a doubt say that I touch lives everyday, and I hope that I am a good role model 90% of the time.My family comes first in my life, and there is nothing I wouldn't do for them. The most beautiful sound in the world is hearing my girls playing and laughing together, and that really puts things into perspective.I am obviously a Blues fan and was hooked the first time I went to a hockey game back in high school. There is nothing like it! I have my girls hooked also, and one of the first phrases the 2 year old said was "Go Blues"What did I do before all this? Let me think.........Oh yeah. I was born and raised here in St. Louis, went to Catholic schools all my life (and am now teaching in one), and have worked with kids since I was in college. I have my undergrad from Fontbonne University, and this year received my Master's Degree from Webster University. :)
