Two days ago Delece got out of her car, stood in between two teenage girls that was pulling each others hair, and brutally, scatching up themselves as gang of boys stood around and watch. No one was there to stop them says Delece. Without thinking of the consequences, she made the girls stop fighting by telling them that they are too beautiful to be out there fighting, have more respect for yourselves, and you boys should be ashamed of yourselves for watching them. Under her breath, she was praying to God that they just stop, well it worked, all of the kids went away. Her job of helping the kids just doesn't stop! Delece is the wife of the blessed Man of God, who's very gifted in Music FARLEY JACKMASTER, and mother of three, a 20 year daughter, a 16 year old step-daughter and a 9 year old step son, and dealing with these four alone, helps her to create topics for the TV show. Well, her journey began in college being a junior, and not knowing what she would do with her life but, she loved the thought of being a movie star. When she was 7 years old, she was selected to play one the games on the bozo circus show. The applauses of the audience made her feel on top of the world. Maybe, she was picked to play because of the beautiful dress her mother let her wear.Well, the combination of acting and modeling was planted as a seed of acceptance to her peers. After graduating from Malcolm X College, she later transferred to Columbia College of Chicago, School of the Arts, were she received some training in television production, acting and Dance. Only to run out of money, Delece began to work in her field of study. Her first small role on the big screen was with Richard Pryor in the movie Jo Jo Dancer, she played as a waitress. This led to other small parts in movies like weird science, Lady blue, Lucas and working with Oprah in some of her films, Brewsters place, and There Are No Children Here, to working with Keanu Reeves in the movie Hard ball, modeling for Revlon and magazines, to some music videos. . One year she can remember going to the Essence awards after winning a beauty pageant, where broke her shoe heel. A shoe owner gave her a brand new pair of $80.00 shoes, and told her to aways remember to help someone else. God was speaking through that shoe owner. No matter how hard she worked to get that big break, she was always faced with how bad does she want the part, and was she willing to compromise her Christian beliefs. One life changing decision about her future was when she went to New York for a bit part in the movie Jungle Fever with Halle Berry and Isaiah Washington of Greys Anatomy TV series.Spike Lees producer Monte Ross came to her and said, You came all the way from Chicago to shine on the big scene, when theres a star waiting to shine in you. That statement caused her to really think about things. The final straw was when one year she had back stage passes to the soul train awards, and after the event, she was invited to a private affair for Vibe Magazine. All of the stars were there. Right when it was closing time, the police were called to the scene. They thought someone was filming a movie out in the parking lot.Delece's friend asked the cops, why are you guys here? and the cop said that they had got a call about a rapper being shot. This was all taking place before the rapper ever stepped foot outside. Notorious B.I.G. was his stage name. How does she know, because she took pictures with one of his associates, Russell Simons. Vivica Fox, Ginuwine, Faith Evans, the Wayan Bros. and Eddie Griffin all of these stars didnt have a problem taking pictures with her except for the Rapper Notorious B.I.G. The timing did not allow him to be outside when the police claims that he was shot. In fact, they didn't even know that it was him, that they were talking about until the next day. Faith Evans his wife, called our hotel room and told us that he was dead and that they wouldn't let her in the hospital room to see her own husband. From then on, Delece knew that the business behind the scenes had a lot more to it than meets the eye.Although, she still loves the show business arena, she doesn't miss the hidden drama. When, she look at the people she started out with like Lisa Ray and Robert Kelly, and some people often remind her that she could have been just as famous, she holds to what God promised. God promised her that her rewards would be greater if she does it in Jesus name. To date, she produces The Kidz Korna TV Show, founder of Christ Is First Productions which create roles that are very meaningful to the community, a licensed Cosmotologist where as she once opened two salons for employment opportunities for the young ladies and just recieved her bacholers degree in Ministry.
