DJ Chris Vatary

Born in South London, Chris began Dj'ing back in 1986. His rootz were deeply buried in hip hop and funk later progressing to the house scene rising around him. In 1988 the Acid House Scene Exploded In London, Introducing the "M25 Raves", Controlled by an East End Pirate radio station "CENTERFORCE". Taking influences from his favourate haunts such as RAINDANCE @ beckton Lane , DUNGEONS @ Lee bridge road, and RAGE @ heaven, charing cross, Chris soon found his style in early Techno and Detroit Techno (R&S TRANSMAT), Playing private parties in the Urban concrete jungles and warehouses of South..South East London, progressing to playing the West End Clubs promoted by Nicky Traxx In Shaftsbury Ave (CONFUSION), Tottenham Court Road and Carnaby Street (MELANGE) along side an up and coming LTJ Bookem and Carnival legends KCC. By 1991 Chris had his first International gig in Sweden playing various underground warehouses clubs and radio, supporting a local go go band called "The Stonefunkers". In 1996, Chris Moved to Swansea, Wales, bringing with him a U.S & U.K Garage vybe not yet discovered and opened Swansea's premier Garage club with friends aptly named "The g Spot", Using Realease the pressure DJ's, Danny Foster, Tee Harris, Mickey Simms and Andy B from London with the help of Gary Dillon. Later that year, Chris was asked to help lay the foundations for a US & UK garage room In Swansea's newly opended Superclub... Escape, Playing along side other residents Craig Bartlett (l'america), Dave Jones, Deli G, and Dj Bern. It was here at the Escape that Chris got to play along side all his favourate Djs and Producers (US & UK) and also got to play in Ibizas' Manumission bar & cafe mambo when Escape went to the island to lauch their own club.
