I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

Hi. I'm a musician and a Co-founder of M.U.F.C. The Musicians United Federation Club is based in the U.K. Our federation was formed on the 16th December 2006 and essentially works together to help all musicians around the globe.
On the 31st May 2007, the Musicians United Alliance (M.U.A) was also formed by a good friend of mine. Musicians all around the world got together and formed a group (company) which was set up to unite all musicians with a common goal and to protect the recording rights of all musicians. The M.U.A has many regional divisions around the world.
The UK division of the M.U.A run by musicians propose a possible merger with the MCPS and PRS and similar organisations in other countries. We would like to work closely with these organisations and the Musicians Union or set up our own organisation similar to the MCPS and PRS which would be responsible for collecting royalties generated from public performance and digital duplication (digital downloads and playback of recordings on the internet) of recorded works featured on any websites on the internet.
Websites such as Myspace generate an income through advertising and investment from mother companies and generate a lot of interest in their site as a result of the thousands of musicians who upload their musical works on their myspace profiles. This type of activity has changed the shape of the music industry and made music freely and legally available to the public without any compensation to the thousands of musicians who have made their music available to myspace for free. This essentially means that the recorded works is being exploited.
Websites such as myspace would need a license to be able to include music on their site so that myspace users could download the music for free and also play it back.
A license would create the requirement for any companies or individuals who wish to include musical works on their websites to pay royalties and licensing and subscription fees to the owners of the recorded works. Licensing fees would go to the M.U.A and be divided appropriately to all registered members who have their musical works exploited on sites such as myspace.
The M.U.A is also looking at the requirement of Internet Service Providers (I.S.P's) having to acquire a license from the owners of musical works as a way of tackling the digital distribution of music on the internet. As we are aware there are lots of filesharing sites on the internet which has made music freely available to the public. We recognise the fact that the I.S.P's play a part in the illegal and legal distribution of recorded works.
We also intend to help all musicians get their music heard but also to play an instrumental role in bringing artists, bands and DJ's together to work on all musical projects together - united as one. It is also a voice for all musicians and we can highlight various issues that concern us all such as intellectual property rights and problems which arise through public perfomance.
We help make sure the laws that govern the lands protect musicians rights in both mechanical and performance related issues. We make sure that all organisations such as the PRS, MCPS and ASCAP etc are protecting musicians interests and looking after all of their members rights especially in relation to intellectual property during this technological and social revolution. So it's important that we exercise our rights as musicians by adding yourself to this myspace profile. If you can add us to your top friends list that would be a great help too!
If you would like to set up your own regional M.U.A then please contact us and we look forward to hearing from you and any ideas that you may have to help improve prospects for all musicians.
This profile has links to various artists, bands, DJ's etc and their music. The federation was formed in December, 2006 on Planet Earth. The rest as they say is history! We would like you to send us a friends request and we will be more than happy to add you to the federation. We need all musicians to come together and show us that you care and feel strongly about various issues to do with music. Any suggestions for this myspace profile are more than welcome.
A litle bit about myself - I absolutely love music. It has played a huge part in my life. All my best friends love music. I love to express myself through my music and I believe that music is the universal language or at least a part of it. Music makes us all come together!
I have made this profile exclusively for musicians around the world to network with each other. Listen to each others music and trade stories. Musicians United FC is a new club. We are in the Champions League and this is the best league to be in. We accept adds from artists, bands and DJ's. If you play an instrument or sing then this is the profile for you. To be in our friends list all you need to do is have a myspace profile with your music on or show that you are a musician of some type.
Love & Peace xxxxx
