I am here for Friends

About Me

Sorry to everyone for falling out of touch a bit in the last few months. MAJOR renovations to my biz has kept me quite busy.... by the way, vote Ron Paul. My name is Steve. I am sitting here wondering what to write "about me", aside from the basics that could describe my life without making this sound like a really bad personal ad. I am 6'1, 230 to 265 lb (depending on the time of year. I live in NH. I am single, never been married, do not have any children. I have also come the the conclusion lately that I will most likely never meet “the right girl” and I guess I am fine with that. As far as work goes, I have been in the sports entertainment industry for going on 15 years. In 1997 I signed a contract with the World wrestling Federation (WWE) where I worked until 2004. In that time frame I had the chance to travel a TON and lived all over the US. Over the past 8 years I have lived in Memphis, Cincinnati, Louisville, KY as well as San Juan, Puerto Rico. In early 2004 I tore a major ligament in my left knee that made it impossible for me to wrestle full time, at the time. So up until recently, I really haven't been in the ring much besides at my training facility. I've really enjoyed the break. Since then I have opened a small businesses based out of Manchester, NH that takes up a huge amount of my time. I wish I had more time to do things NOT work related besides going to the gym....actually, even that is work related. Yeah, I know....boring. I have been away from home for so long I lost touch with almost everyone I grew up with, so I hope that by joining Myspace I will be able to catch up with old friends. I KNOW I can't be the only nerdo who has a Myspace page. Besides, I KNOW because I already saw you all...suckas.

My Interests

Pretty much anything active, I love going to any kind of live show (plays, concerts, stand-up), I'm a HUGE Sox fan (who isn't), and I am also a HUGE fan of the Howard Stern Show. Also, I an avid reader, and I love to travel (although it has worn a tad bit thin). I also enjoy movies, amusement parks, orgies, drugs, and killing anything slightly smaller than me... just kidding..... ooooor am I?

I'd like to meet:

Howard Stern (or anyone from the Stern show), Stephen King, David Bowie, Roger Clemens, Debbie Harry (I'd prefer the '78 Debbie), Paul McCartney, Jarrod from Subway, the woman in the Coney Island Show that swallows glass and swords, the "fast talking guy" that used to be in almost every commercial in the late 90's, and last, but not least, the gay teletubbie.....Oh yeah....and Don Imus.

Music:

I am REALLY into music and enjoy a really broad mix of stuff, so I'll just list some favorites (in no particular order); The Band, Nirvana, Queen, Bowie, Weezer, The Flaming Lips, Cyndi Lauper, The Dresden Dolls, Janis Joplin, The Meat Puppets, Radiohead, The Amazing Pink Dots, Blondie, DMB, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Dylan, Alison Sudol (every single night I pray to God that she will appear in my bed, but she hasn't yet) Lately, it's been the Beatles and the Talking Heads!

Movies:

Jeeeesh, I don't know? I just know that I like good movies, and I also know I haven't really seen one in a long time. Oh, The Departed.

Television:

I have recently come to the conclusion that the television is not our friend.

Books:

Anything by Stephen King. (The Stand was the greatest book EVER written!) I also try to make it a point to read James Patterson. I also recently read two books written by Legs McNeil (the former editor of "Rolling Stone" and "Spin") called "Please Kill Me: The Oral History of Punk" and another called "The Other Hollywood: the Oral History of the Porn Film Industry" and I gotta say that both books were really cool and I must recommend them to anyone who is interested in reading crazy stories about drugged up, morally defunct famous people committing murders, having orgies, getting aids and getting arrested. They were both fun books.

Heroes:

My Dad.

My Blog
