Nice Ass

Four brainiac Mensa-type girls, four instruments, and a love of rockin' out. We all serve our inner geeks and find our common ground in music. Oh yeah, we do like a little sarcasm. And wit. Pure and simple, bang-your-head-against-the-wall and shake-your-booty frustration led us into musical temptation. With ourselves mostly. And with the status quo too.
Cherries even had to leave the US for a while and go live Down Under to feel like herself again. There've been times we've all felt like Upside-Down Girls, living in a right side up world (and it was good enough to win a prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition).
We even find inspiration from pop divas who don't bother to pick up an instrument (ever!)... yet they advert themselves as 'musicians'. Gotta love those machine-made, perfect-for-the-Bush-era pop brats, right Miss Orange?
But there are some people who are for real. People who've some real-world experiences and are telling their stories. Some of them are really complicated and some are, like, Simply Simone.
And there's more. We think it's rather tough to Buy American these days. Three jobs don't even pay one rent. As Cherries says, "Clone me! There is more to life than LA, Baby!" Yes, there is Cake in the Car in the Afternoon for one thing. And that's not even dessert.
