Susy Blue

About Me

Classically trained flautist turned-singer songwriter Susy Blue always had a sneaking suspicion she wouldn’t end up in orchestras. After completing her studies on how to be anal about music, she began exploring new paths such as jazz, Latin and gypsy swing, singing and songwriting. After a year long musical adventure in South America, Susy was awarded a Buzz Grant to record her debut self titled EP of jazz/world/folk flavoured songs. Drawing on influences from Tori Amos, Fiona Apple and Joanna Newsom, Susy’s musings from a colourful and messy imagination conjure up a quirky and unique fresh sound. Susy has recently headed south to frosty Melbourne for some more musical adventures.
