About Me

I'm Stephanie
[you may not know it yet, but you already love me]
- it's as simple and complex as that -
My name is Stephanie. I'm 24.
My faith means everything to me and IS everything to me.
I love the simple things in life.
I walk on railroad tracks and roll down grassy hills.
I like to dig in the mud, stomp on half-frozen slush puddles in the spring, pick wildflowers.
I read National Geographic and watch CNN Headline news.
When I'm overfull of emotions, you can find me at a piano in a dimly lit room singing my soul out.
When I get home from work, I immediately change into my pajamas.
I hug everyone everytime I see them and when we part, even if I've just met them.
I LOVE anything paranormal and it has always been a huge passion...I especially love watching Ghost Hunters over and over again!
I like to eat Lucky Charms and watch Saturday morning cartoons.
I love Shirley Temple and Laurel and Hardy movies.
I take long bike rides that end at a candy stores.
Iced chai latte w/ soy is my lover.
Cold Decembers make the most beautiful rosy cheeks.
Seeing little old men eating alone at breakfast makes me tear up.
I am a human dictionary, thesaurus, and grammar check. I love to proofread things.
Listening to crickets, frogs, wind rushing through the cattails and grass is my soothing lullaby.
Thunderstorms are my soulmate and breeding ground for my passions.
Bonfires, acoustic guitars, s'mores, hot dogs make the best memories.
Forts in the woods made of branches and vines are solitude.
My tastebuds swoon at a juicy peach, pomegranate, fresh pineapple.
My mouth begs for spicy food and Mediterranean cuisine.
French fries and frosties are pure genious...
...but I am still a health nut.
Dirt paths and sharp chilly air invigorate me at 5am when accompanied by a run; awaking from camping to a beautiful Congo or Amazon laden with fog invigorates my life.
I am ecstatic everytime I see a mountain sunset...and a tree.
I daydream of the hills of Ireland and Scotland and obsess over Celtic culture.
I seduce my senses with latin ballroom dancing and take great interest in any Spanish-speaking culture.
I have fallen head over heals with the sultry gypsy culture of Andalucia. I dream of dancing flamenco in the moonlight, hearing los gritos errupt from cobblestone streets. I transport myself to las calles of Argentina and envelope myself in a beautiful tango.
My heart yearns for Sicily, a land of my heritage.
I search diligently for my ancestors and have found them all over France, Poland, Sicily...and have recently found them lurking in Ireland, England, Germany.
I am an only child who grows close to everyone soon after meeting. You are my brother or sister. You are my mother or father.
Your eyes are transparent to me; I can read your soul just from a simple gaze.
I'm Daddy's little girl.
Children are the most precious gift from God, and holding them in my arms awakens my soul to life.
I'm loyal. I'm a listener. I'm trustworthy. I will pour my all into you.
I want to see the holy land.
I've walked where Christ has walked. I've been in His house. I have felt His gentle arms hold me in times of torment and joy.
My heart melts to sugary jazz voices from the early 20th century.
I would love to play dress up with period and era dress, particularily Renaissance.
I was supposed to be born hundreds of years ago and mingling among peasants.
I'd yearn to live a story like the Secret Garden or Little Women.
Somewhere there is a Blarney stone waiting to be kissed by me and a camel ready to whisk me by the great pyramids.
A Burberry scarf is on my grocery list. I am a plain jane but am a sucker for fashion news.
I will cherish my future husband and children; I already love and pray for them, though I know not who they are.
Reading offers me a safe haven and brings me to the sweetest nostalgia. Harry Potter is included in this statement.
My heart beats to classical music and opera. I am emotionless and decay without it. The great composers have been good friends of mine since early childhood. By choice.
I collect coins, currency, rocks, stamps, music boxes, and many other dorky things.
I want to ride in a jeep outrun by a lion.
I want to play an oboe concerto with a symphony and sing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
I will walk the streets of London.
I will to give my life to refugees and humanitarian work. I dream of working for the UN.
I strive and will strive to be the best friend, daughter, wife, mother, lover, sister[-in-law], and person I can.
