About Me

I'm an ex-struggling writer who came good in 2005 after years of whoring myself to music websites, local newspapers & a soul-crumpling call centre. Am currently writing & sub-editing across a range of lifestyle & business magazines, & also freelance for Record Collector when I can be bothered - have interviewed such legends as The Vines, Chumbawamba, Shed 7 & Shakin' Stevens. On a more poignant note, I did interview the Crocodile Hunter & Paul Hunter not long before they both snuffed, which kind of put things into perspective (Croc Hunter interview blogged above).
Am in a transitional phase at the moment. My new year's resolution is in full swing undoing last year's damage equation: booze, sedentary work, insomnia + no exercise = waistline expansion. Have picked up the gym bug & dropped the take-outs & beers (red wine is the way ahead!). Have also come to realise that most of my mates are shit so am attempting to rectify that too... Interview with Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin

Craziest son of a bitch I've ever met. The interview is a little a bit dated but reads really well because some of the stuff Steve came out with is now so ironic, about how he'll never come to harm wi...

Interview with Gary Numan (May 2002!)

This was one of my first interviews and probably my favourite because Gary was such a good interviewee. We connected well because both our dogs had just died and we established that we'd both been fuc...
