Irgendjemand hat sie mal als „beinahe kammermusikalisch unaufgeregt“ beschrieben. Dann wieder fiept und frickelt es und die hypnotische Harmonie wird mit sanfter Hartnäckigkeit gebrochen.„Mich interessiert der Moment, in dem in experimenteller Musik der Pop zum Vorschein kommt und umgekehrt“, beschreibt es Pulka selbst. „Ein gutes Beispiel dafür sind die Talking Heads-Alben, die von Brian Eno produziert wurden.“ Hier funktionieren Weltmusikeinflüsse auch ohne Esoterik, Batiktücher und Flip-Flops. Letztendlich findet der Pop einen Weg, mit dem schwierigen Thema Weltmusik umgehen, ohne in die Peinlichkeitsfalle zu tappen.Pulka funktioniert völlig unakademisch und ohne fundierten Background.
