About Me

Hello freinds, I set this up with the help of momzilla, love you lots! So we can communicate while im deployed. Ill post blogs to let you all know whats going on and that IM ok. Ill also post pictures and possably video if I figure out how. Ill be in Quantico early May and in Iraq in June. Sorry I cant post exact dates due to opsec. I can tell you Ill be with an AST team. Ill be attached to the 6th bde 23 bn of the IIF , ( Iraqi infantry ) . Thanks for all the support and Ill be in touch.For those of you who dont know me , I grew up in Sacramento Ca and joined the Marine Corps in 1995. I served active duty until Oct of 2002,(just short of 8yrs ). I beacame a firefighter for the California Dept Forestry for 2 seasons and then started working fo Camp Pendleton Fire Dept in May of 2004. I enlisted in the marine reserve in Jan 2005 and voluteered for duty with an AST team Iraq. I have 3 mos's ( millitary occupational specialties ), 0331 ( infantry machinegunner) 8532 (small arms weapons instrctor) and 8152 ( Marine Security Forces). I served active duty with Marine Barracks Japan in Yokosuka Japan, 2nd Bn 2nd Marines Echo Co and Combat skills training school as a weapons and tactics inst. My current unit is G Co 2/23 wpns plt. So if your interested in what its like on the ground in Iraq from a combat advisor's point of view stay posted.
