Now I know it's kinda strange but it's bout time for a change
It's time to rearrange the words on my page
See before, I outpoured the histories of my history
An outlay of happiness and a certain recent misery
With underlying sadness and a message for all to see
which was basically said for whatever lady chooses to the spot next to me
I've dropped the sadness and put it in a box
You wanna open it, go ahead...it's there without a lock
New blog, old piece but it's there called About Me
So if you're interested, then go read and see what you see
Now to the present; I'm typin this straight
So any and all mistakes happen right out the gate
From my fingers to the keys, from the keys to the page
Like an animal unleashed after years in a cage
My heart is free with scars here and there
But it's all good cuz quite frankly, I don't care
The point is, it's free and no longer entrapped
He's a soldier just home from war with talent untapped
He's dropped his bag and rifle from a ware the wasn't won
But with a smile cuz he's realized....the war is finally done
I saw a lot of you there, on the battlefield of love
and I know of all the returns, I'm not the only one
So congrats on survivin and thrivin
It's a struggle but hey...we're tryin

I'd like to meet:

Myself. And I would like to tell him that the world is not over. Tell him that he did not lose her, but she lost him. That he's a great guy and was too good for her and she didn't appreciate it. I want to tell me that i can get through this and become a bigger and better man. I want to tell me that I know it's hard right now but it will get better and that maybe she wasn't the one. I want to tell him that I know he loves her but it's over now and sitting at home dwelling on it will only hurt me more. I want to meet me and give me a hug and tell me everything will be okay. Most Importantly, I want to beleive me when I say it.
