About Me

What you see above is a basic portfolio of my work, spanning from Apprentice to now. Unfortunately I don't have photos of all of my work, as I accept Walk-Ins and don't always have my camera with me. I moved from Brooklyn, NYC to Buffalo, NY just over 5 years ago to apprentice with Chimene at Strange Brew. That's pronounced Shi (Like Shiver) Main for those of you who unknowingly butcher it :)*Please note that most of this artwork was custom designed for my clients. Tattoos are very personal things that represent what and who someone is. If you like what you see, I can design something fresh and original for you too, but please avoid the temptation to copy. Have respect for the personal aspect of each design and ask yourself, "Why would I want something someone else already has?"The 2 most IMPORTANT THINGS you should ask when you go ANYWHERE for a tattoo: 1. Are those needles New and Sterilized? 2. Where is your sterilization equipment?I cannot stress enough how important this is to ask. NEVER assume that all Tattoo Artists use clean and fresh equipment. Unfortunately, some don't. Tattoos are not just pretty pictures on skin. You should be aware of what can happen if you get a Tattoo in a dirty studio. We take pride in our cleanliness and our reputation for such. Strange Brew was one of the first shops in New York State to be certified by the health department and was a standing supporter for this regulation. The health department has used our shop for training new inspectors and has recommended clients to us when called for a reputable location. We are quite proud to have gained their respect and support over the years. At Strange Brew, our goal is to offer high quality art in a clean and comfortable setting. We operate by appointment only to promote that your time is devoted to you, and to ensure your satisfaction. We are here for the client and the art.More about me? I spent 6 years in college to obtain an AAS in Fine Arts and a BFA in Illustration. A Tattoo Artist should ALWAYS be an Artist First, and an Artist at Heart.
