Holden Caufield

I'm Holden. Holden Caufield that is. I say "Boy!" a lot. Partly because I have a lousy vocabulary and partly because I act quite young for my age sometimes. I like to have real conversations with people. I also enjoy a good dance. And I'm suave as hell. I have a brother, D.B. He's a writer and sent off to live in Hollywood. I also have a sister, Phoebe. Boy, do I love her. She just kills me. She's the kind of person you can sit down and talk to, and she'll just understand everything. I also had another brother, Allie. He died from leukemia on July 18, 1946.. He was the nicest and most intelligent member of the family. Boy, you would've liked him. Moving on now.. I recently attended Pencey Prep. That place was full of a bunch of goddam phonies and crooks. My room mate was this senior guy named Warren Stradlater. That handsome bastard was madly in love with himself. There was this other guy, Chris Ackley, who I like to call Ackley kid. He hated when I called him that. He damn near hated everybody's guts, but we would hang out every once in a while. He was quite annoying, always coming into my room clipping his nails and stuff.. He also had this gross acne. I kinda felt sorry for the poor kid.. Well, I recently got kicked out of Pencey. I'm now relaxing in New York. And I've been seeing some pretty damn strange things. So yeah. I can't think of much else to say on this damn thing.. Call me if you wanna go grab a drink sometime, or just have a good conversation.
