LJ Freeman burst onto the DJ scene in 2005. Only buying his first set of decks in 2003 after a career in professional rugby was cut short due to injury, LJ decided he needed something to replace the euphoric feeling of playing sport in front of big crowds and followed his other true love....House music.
As director of the hugely successful club night Love To Be... LJ had always spent his time in a more behind the scenes role on the other side of the decks. However in August 2005 he stepped into the limelight and made his debut at Sheffield super club Plug, rocking the main room after an awesome display from the Trophy Twins. He went on later that year to establish Twisted, the electro house night that’s now become an institution among electro house lovers in Sheffield. In less than a year playing out LJ had already rocked many a dancefloor alongside such astute names as Erol Alkan, Deadmau5, Axwell and Steve Angello. In January 2007 he had the honour of doubling up with Mason for a back to back hour which he could only describe as ‘Utterly unbelievable and awe inspiring’. LJ is still resident at Plug.
In January 2007 LJ took his DJing to the next level, and was booked to play at Manchester superclub Sankeys alongside Jon Carter and Mission in Leeds, who had both heard of his engergetic style and ability to cause total dance floor destruction with his big room house bombs! After a storming Sankeys debut LJ was re-booked the following day to play for Pacha at their event in April 2007 alongside Sarah Main.
Summer 2008 saw his first 'working' trip to Ibiza where he played at the like of The Zoo Project and Bora Bora.Lee's has recently moved into the studio after to going back to college and has had his first 3 tracks signed to new label Stylus.
