To many record shops have closed.
In London- Plastic Fantastic has gone, in Bristol: Replay, Eat The Beat, Imperial, Bang Bang and in other UK cities the story is much the same-
The indies are closing and faceless brands like FOPP, Virgin and HMV take their place, offering bland service and the same old re-issue bargain CDs.
We want our record shops back- the ones that sold rare 12" vinyl, the import ones and the muso's in the shop actually knew what it was. The shops were nothing was done with a mechanical vibe, where it was personal.
But HMV and Virgin aren't fully to blame. HTFR, Juno and the online retailers are contributing to our shops going down, and they charge more!
So friends! Join our cause and help bring vinyl back. Spread the word where you can. much respect to you sir ,a noble cause
