He was born in 1977 in a small town in the central part of Slovakia. His father plays the piano and gives lessons on a music history and a piano at University. He is a big inspiration for him. Smote is a producer who has a very strong contact with the music from his early childhood. He used to play the piano and later the guitar in the punk band called (Los Ratones Paranoicos). This experience equipped him with strong base for the later direct meeting with the electronic music. Triphop and sound of bands like Massive Attack, Portishead, or madman Tricky consistently formed his musical ear. Since about 1998 he started to compose his own music.
Meeting drum & bass and break music, anomalous sound, dense thud of bass sealed his future musical aim. Music software (in computer) fulfils his anticipation for making his own sound. In summer 2003 he established his own agency Reverse (www.reverse.sk) to promote dnb music and to support young music talents in Slovakia.Special atmosphere and deep sound are typical characteristics of his music. These two elements are most markedly in his tunes. His tunes were already played on the radio show of BBC1xtra by dj Flight and Bassdrive where regularly play his tracks names like Stunna and Dj Kapacity.From year 2007 Smote start releasing his own production on labels like: Midnight Sun, Vibez, Strictly Digital, RedMist, and others recognized labels.His tracks support and regularly ranges in them sets names like: LTJ Bukem, Nookie, Stunna, Subject 13, Physics, Haze, Brooklyn...and many others recognized artists.As also a dj he plays the set which contains tracks from his production and also fresh things from producers like: Nookie, LTJ Bukem, Stunna, Brooklyn, Physics, Amaning and others. Smote often performs in parties and festivals especially in Slovakia and Czech Republic.---------------------------------------------------
