1. I am first and foremost in this life, a mom. I homeschool my children and they are the joy in my life. Of course, it goes without saying that my children are spoiled and yes, often, very ungrateful but Heaven help anyone who messes with any one of them.2. I adore animals. We have two Chihuahuas and a cat. I have the claw marks to prove that Ozzie Osbourne the cat lives up to his namesake. (LOL)3. My life is about changing at this point. I am not discovering who I am, I am creating her and in the end, I hope she turns out pretty darn well. The woman emerging now is finding that she loves new things, tattoos, traveling, and experiencing new adventures.4. I have Multiple Sclerosis BUT it will never have me. With the help of medication, I am almost normal. Oh wait, that is an entirely different problem. .. Actually, my MS is under control and I am pretty content with having it and accepting it as long as I get to nap when my body says so.5. I love Diet Pepsi Max. I hate brussel sprouts. I love fishing. I hate hunting. (Which means that I do not want to see photos of the deer you killed.) I love coffee and hanging out at a book store. I hate standing in line because I am impatient. I love to flirt. I hate it when people pretend to be something they are not. I love pillows all around me when I sleep. I hate covers. I love chocolate from time to time and I love brownies BUT please do not give me chocolate ice cream or chocolate cake. I dislike the both of them. I love a good UFC match. I don't like it when the match turns into a brawl. I love watching the WWE because it is the best soap opera on television. I hate it when people act like wrestling is for real. I love the beach. I am not overly fond of any place that is cold.If you want to know more about me, just ask. I will answer back.
" in="" am="" it="" me,=""
In all the world,
there is no one else exactly like me -
everything that comes out of me is authentically mine,
because I alone choose it - I own everything about me - my body, my feelings, my mouth, my voice, all my actions,
whether they be to others or to myself -
I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears -
I own all my triumphs and successes, all my failures and mistakes. Because I own all of me, I can become intimately acquainted with me - by so doing I can love me and be friendly with me in all my parts -
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me,
and other aspects that I do not know -
but as long as I am friendly and loving to myself,
I can courageously and hopefully look for solutions to the puzzles and for ways to find out more about me -
However I look and sound, whatever I say and do,
and whatever I think and feel at a given moment in time is authentically me - If later some parts of how I looked, sounded, thought and felt turned out to be unfitting, I can discard that which I feel is unfitting, keep the rest, and invent something new for that which I discarded -
I can see, hear, feel, think, say, and do.
I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be productive,
and to make sense and order out of the world of people and things outside of me -
I own me, and therefore I can engineer me -
I am me & I AM OKAY! Virginia Satir
