Jennifer's musical odyssey started at age 12 when she came home and found an old upright piano in her living room. A friend of her mother's, Arlene, thought Jennifer had talent and decided to buy a piano for her. A year later Jennifer received from sad news from her mother, Arlene had died of cancer. That night she made a pact with Arlene's spirit that she would make Arlene proud by working hard on the piano. She saw Batman at age 15 and was inspired by Danny Elfman's score for the move to become a film composer. At 18 she moved to Los Angeles and scored a few independent features and found steady work as a music editor on films as "High Fidelity" and "Pearl Harbor". During a vocal session for a film score that she decided to stick to the path carved out by Danny Elfman; Make it as a rock star first, then retire to a life of film composing!In 2002 she produced her debut CD "Lay It On" and few months later formed a band. Jennifer broke through the highly competitive LA music scene and played well known venues like The Troubadour, Knitting Factory, The Mint, and Hotel Cafe, selling scores of CDs along the way. Her riveting performances have earned her praise from the LA Times and LA Weekly. In 2003 LA Weekly nominated her as best new artist for the year.Her new CD includes some of her most powerful songs, including "Down On The Highway" and "Angelina". These songs show her power both as a performer and as a writer.
