About Me

Began at a very young age in the clothing line industry in 2000, Jose "Jep" Martinez (San Francisco Bay Area native), altough a common name, insisted that he would be the one Joses you would always remember. He persisted learning the ropes and curves of the industry, getting his name out and following the trends. "Jep" absorbed in as much information as he could an learned from his experiences. Through his shoe customs with his alias name entitled, "AlloPhaCique", he grew popular for his fresh style and retro 80's looks. He is what you would have called an "old soul". He quickly gained attention with his "San Francisco City" Nike Dunks made in 2003 and then again regained attention with his "Raw Dunkies" in 2004, both shoes were said to be very innovative and yet simple, a break through with fabric usage and and at such a young age his accomplishment was unbelievable. "He has a lot of talent at a young age, I would watch out for him in the future, don't be surprised if you see him come out and kill everything else around." - Nike SB North America. He was then featured on the Sneaker Freaker tour, even though he did not last long, and not many people noticed his small name, many other designer brands did. He was soon offered a job as a junior designer while in his 8th grade year for a company that quickly flopped due to financial issues. It had almost had seemed that the name and the designer "AlloPhaCique" had disappeared from the fashion world. Many questions are unanswered about this highly anticipated designer, will he ever come back? Many other designers have stated that he was not coming back, and that he was too young to begin with, that his spirit was killed once taken off the tour, is this true? The question remains, will "AlloPhaCique" the would have been in the top 10 if there was a draft for designers, ever return? The world waits.-Sole Mag. April 2004 Issue 4Hi!
