SICARUS has been a force to be reckoned with in the past year. Sharing the stage with such acts as 3 Inches Of Blood, Toxic Holocaust, and Earlyman; receiving major radio and internet radio airplay; and having their music distributed to hundreds of thousands of fans through Metal Edge and Metal Maniacs magazines. They are proving to the world that their music stands out above others in this world of copy cat metal. SICARUS adds its own unique sound and vocal style which regularly encompasses 3 and 4 piece vocal harmonies to bring a truly melodic and powerful aspect to their distinctive and diverse style of metal. Since its inception SICARUS has quickly established themselves in the local scene as a powerhouse, earning the respect of fans and musicians alike.
The core of the band was formed in summer 2007 by its two founding members Jon and Kenny, who began tentative work on several songs that would evolve into the current SICARUS set list. Both guitarists complement one another in their individual styles and ideas as they collaborate to create an awesome balance of power, aggression, melody and brutality. After weeks of painful auditions they finally found the musicians that would complete the band; Eric, KC and Dustin quickly joined SICARUS to perfect every dimension of the bands sound and design.

With their first demo “Bleed Seraphim†complete and released, the band has received enormous praise and is quickly building a solid fan base, regularly selling 80-100 pre-sale tickets at local shows, and has recently had air time on the orange county radio station, KUCI. SICARUS has established a 1 year business plan which encompasses frequent performances both local and afar, recording their second demo in May ’08, receiving local and national air play, launching an official website, getting featured on Metal Maniacs compilation CD, and releasing a line of merchandise, all while continuing to develop SICARUS professionally and musically.
SICARUS is now prepared to launch full time into turning their vision into reality.
We appreciate the support and the interest, as long as you guys want to hear metal, we'll write it and play it. Stay heavy, listen to metal.
