It’s been said that your talent is God's gift to you and what you do with it is your gift back to God.
In the case of Ramsey Leigh, she has used her vocal talent to give back to God since she was five years old when she sang “Happy Birthday Jesus†at her hometown church for Christmas and brought the crowd to tears. Her parents David & Stephanie realized her talent and sought out a qualified vocal coach to develop her insatiable desire to “make a joyful noise.â€
Ramsey gravitates towards contemporary Christian and country music and has a knack for delivering bold vocal ranges. She packs quite a punch! To compliment her vocal talents, Ramsey is playing acoustic guitar. Ramsey has sung at venues across Louisiana and Texas with Louisiana recording artist Hunter Hayes. She has also made appearances on television programs such as Passe Partout in Lafayette, LA and Swamp & Roll in Opelousas, LA.
Ramsey is currently the background vocalist for Nashville recording artist Hunter Hayes. Check out his new CD "Songs About Nothing" on his MySpace site. She has also recently recorded background vocals for The Andy Smith Band on a CD that has been released in association with the new DVD "The Electric Mist" by novelist James Lee Burke. Check out www.andysmithband.com for more information on his CD.
A recent big accomplishment has been her recording of "Walk Out That Door", written by Scott Innes "the Voice of Scooby Doo", and produced by Hunter Hayes with background vocalist Briana Tyson. The song has been receiving widespread recognition. You can hear the song above, on YouTube with keywords "Ramsey Leigh" or on radio station WYNK 101.5.
If you're looking for a background vocalist for studio recording, Ramsey can sing three part harmonies. You won't be disappointed. Send her an email to let her know what you have in mind.
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11: 1)
