TWO GUNS

About Me

TWO GUNS is a band based out of Long Beach, California. Their debut, self-titled album features a band comprised of Kevin Poush, Aaron Bradford, Adam Ferry and Chris Fudurich. Kevin, Aaron and Adam released a 2005 full-length record while members of the band Fielding. It was during this time that they befriended Los Angeles based engineer / producer / mixer / multi-instrumentalist Christopher Fudurich. The current line-up of TWO GUNS includes Kevin Poush, Aaron Bradford, Adam Ferry, Harris Pitman (currently on tour with Matt Costa and/or Zee Avi) and Daniel De Blanke (guitarist of Robotanists).

A number of friends joined Two Guns on their debut album including Kay Hanley of Letters To Cleo and Sarah Ellquist and Daniel de Blanke of Los Angeles' Robotanists.

Influences:

Beatles, Beulah, The Band, Radiohead, Dylan, Wilco, Aimee Mann, Beach Boys, Flaming Lips, Spoon, Cat Stevens, Superdrag, Neil Young, Elliott Smith, Jon Brion, Squeeze, Nilsson, Richard Swift, Arcade Fire, Built to Spill, Creedence, David Bazan, Damien Jurado, My Morning Jacket, Cohen Brothers, Wes Anderson, PT Anderson, Vin Scully, warm weather/cold weather, and underdogs.
Sounds Like:
“Promising the ‘newest familiar sound you could ever hope to hear,’ these West Coast indie rockers aren’t looking to overcomplicate the process. ‘The formula hasn’t changed a whole lot since the Beatles blasted the world with hook after hook, verse-chorus-verse,’ explains Poush. ‘A song need not be hard to figure out for it to be good.’”
-AP Magazine

"It’s the same vague sentience that set in after I heard Wilco’s “Summerteeth,” or, more recently, “Ghost Stories” by L.A.’s Everest: Just because your relationships suffer from faulty wiring doesn’t mean you’re powerless."
-BuzzBands.LA

"Carving circumference around bedrock band inspirations like Elliot Smith, Wilco and Radiohead... and keeping space within for carefully plotted pop that wears a McCartney/Rhodes comparison snugly."
- The District Weekly

"Like a dusty desert highway, [Two Guns] first ever show made us thirsty for more of their melodic, good-tempered, solid songwriting."
- OC Weekly
