From the age of about 16 when I first began my interest of DJ-ing, back in the day when Judge Jules would have his friday night warm up on Radio 1 playing the likes of Angelic, DJ Jam X, Yomanda and of coarse his own productions Hi-Gate, I always liked the idea of having my own set of turntables and a few records to mess around with.
With the idea stuck in my head, I purchased my first set of decks and have been hooked ever since to the stage where I now have hundreds of records stacked on shelves with plenty of timeless classic hidden amongst them. One of the few records I remember DJ-ing with when I first started out was DJ Jean’s The Launch, a classic I’m sure you’ll agree.
Dj-ing is something that I very much enjoy, and don’t plan to stop anytime soon.
With the production side of things I learnt alot of my skills after attending college for 2 years in Leicester, studying sound engineering. Alot of practical time in the studios enlightened me to try an create my own productions, and after purchasing a copy of the studio software Cubase SX I was in my own little world recording many tracks and playing them for family and friends, a few of which are listed in the discography section above.
I soon began to get tired of just playing them for myself and others, so last year I decided to put a few of them on an internet download site www.ajtunes.com. This is great site and a real good starting point for independent artists such as myself, however I wanted my music to be elsewhere on the internet aswell.
