About Me
Clarice Bean Tuesday: Lives with her Mum & Dad. Her older brother and sister Kurt & Marcie, and younger brother Minal Cricket. Also their Grandad lives with them and his dog Cement. Grandad & Cement are having classes to learn manners. Kurt is a very quiet teenager, he dosn't say much and mooches about a lot like a fish so his Mum says, his star sign is Pieses. Marcie, likes to do herself up, her hair & make up is always perfect and she likes it when Kurt's friends come round. Kurt is a vegetarian and has just got a job in a organic health food shop called EggPlant, Kurt really cares about the Environment.
Clarice's best friend is Betty P Moody, but she also gets on well with Karl Wrenbury (who has a talent for trouble) Clarice isn't sure what her natural talant is yet, but she's determined to find out. Betty has a talent for the Trumpet but is worried it's making her cheeks expand.
Clarice's cousin Noah is in her class, he has a sister called Yolla (their mum Marguerite is from Trinidad). their dad is Uncle Al, Clarice's Mum's brother. Mum also has two other brothers; Uncle Ted who is a Fireman and Uncle Ernie who is a Policeman in New York City! Uncle Ted drives a tiny little very fast yellow car, and from time to time babysits, this usually ends up in Chaos and Mum only calls him in emergencies when no one else is available. Clarice's Dad has a very important job in the city, he has a very big desk and has to sort out very important problems, if you want to talk to him you have to speek to his secretary Ms Egglington.
Clarise's hero is Ruby Redfort a child spy whose life is very exciting she even has a butlar, Hitch who rescues her when needed in a purple helecopter. The books were written years ago by author Patricia F Maplin Stacey, but Hollywood are going to remake it into a Movie and some of it is going to be filmed in London! Clarice and Betty are very excited.
There is a nosey boy who lives next door his name is Robert Granger and he is also in Clarice's class, he tries to walk home with her but shes very good at avoiding him. Once when Clarice was looking after Albert the school Guinea Pig in the holidays and he escaped Robert Granger tried to pretend (cause he found Albert) that it was raelly a girl Guinea Pig called Belinda.
Sometimes Clarice really dosn't like school. Her teacher Mrs Wilberton always says she's not concentrating and is hatching plans that will get her in trouble. This is mainly because she is friends with karl. But Clarice isn't really a trouble maker, neither is Karl. But they just cant help getting into mischeif. Plus Karl has this Zingy thing inside him. Clarice likes Karl and sometimes he comes to Tea, Karl helps his mum do Dog Training classes and is very good at being Top Dog. Another natural talent.
Clarice and Betty have just signed up for Drama classes! They both want to be Household Names when they grow up!

This is me Clarice Bean. I am not an only child, but I sometimes wish I was. My family is six people, which is sometimes too many. Not always, just sometimes. Mainly my dad is mostly in an office answering the phone and going, "I can't talk now, I'm up to my ears in it." Mum is always gribbling about pants on the floor and shoes on the sofa. She says, "This house doesn't clean itself you know. Who do you think does everything around here? Mr Nobody? I don't get paid to pick up your smelly socks! If I did I'd be a rich woman." etc etc non-non-stop. I am the third oldest and I think it would have been a good idea if I was the youngest too. I am not quite sure why mum and dad wanted to have more children after me. They didn't need another one and it's a shame because he is spoiling it for everyone else. He is called Minal Cricket and he tends to be utterly a nuisnace. He is non-stop whining and causing other people to get in trouble.
