Hmmmmmmmmmm, lets see, I am a 29yr old fun loving poet, activist, mentor, lover, fighter, and everything in between. I was born in Dallas, TX and raised in South Dallas, and I love my hood. Well I love the people in my hood, cause for all the bad things you can say about ghetto people, you can’t say that we don’t know how to survive! I hold a BA in Music Business from Allen University, in Columbia, SC and I am currently seeking my MS in Media Management. I love God, my family, poetry, hip hop, soul music, the 60's, children, cooking, reading and my people; God I love Black people. I am a rich woman’s lover and a poe woman’s dream, I am Knowledge Intelligent Nubian God, simply said I am K.I.N.G. Ok I got that out of the way: I started writing at the age of twelve after reading Cotton Candy on a Rainy Day by Nikki Giovanni. I have been in love with poetry ever since. My first performance was in a Baptist church, at the age of seventeen, when a lady that saw my gift for the art made me get up in front of my peers and showcase my self. I am now dedicated to helping people young, and old find that voice, and I am trying to encourage them to give it to the world, because we all have a story to tell. From the baby in the womb to my brothers locked in the beast’s tombs, to the fatherless sons, to the sista whose heart is on the run, these are the people for whom I write for; and every day I pray that my words can do them justice. I “much rather excite and enlighten, than entertainâ€.(Goodie Mob) This is K.I.N.G. for now check with me in six months and I will have a new story, the same but different.
