In mid 2001, Ryan Marr was in San Francisco, drumming for the band SOAPBOX REVOLT. The band was recording at the famous MOTOR STUDIOS with Producer/ Engineer Ryan Greene. Mid way through the bands recording session, Ryan Marr realized that he found his calling in life. He wanted to own and operate his own recording studio. Shortly there after, Ryan was on his way to learn how to record music. He bought a small format multitrack recorder and a few mic's. A couple of years went bye and Ryan realized that he was ready to go all the way with his dream and build a full scale recording facility. Construction started in late 2003 and went on to early 2007. After nearly 4 years, the studio was complete, except for one thing. Ryan needed a partner to help run the studio. He turned to his friends Christopher Natoli and Bret Moody for help.
Christopher Natoli, has been working in music over 15 years. After graduating from MI (Musicians Institute), Christopher began working as a assistant editor at the world-renowned Trailer Park, assisting in the post production for movie trailers. During his five years at the company, Christopher was involved with every conceivable aspect of post production including mixing, recording , vocals, cutting and editing, digitizing, and mastering. In June of 2006, Christopher packed up his studio at Trailer Park to fulfill his dream, and joined up with Ryan to finish up the studio.
Bret Moody, Guitarist for the late 8 fingers down and the recent band Silence the Witness has been playing guitar, writing songs and producing bands for over 15 years. Ryan knew that Bret was a perfect match for Silent Room Studios. Bret's knowledge for producing amazing sounds from a guitar and his attention to detail was a vital part that was needed at the studio.
