Born and bred in the belly of the beast, Bethnal Green, E2, Kosha has managed to establish himself as a very diverse and hard graft artist on the underground scene, as Seventy Recordings newest signing confesses "I was born to do this". Starting out in his teens, he quickly became involved in the pirate radio scene, landing his first big spot on Flava FM 87.6, alongside other artists such as Kano, Dizzee Rascal, D Double E and Jammer. Consistent graft propelled him onto nationwide tours up and down the UK with Garage/RnB Nation performing alongside big name DJs such as EZ and DJ Slimzee. It wasn’t until after a feature on Channel 4's Kiss FM Pirate Soundclash competition that he realised that he wanted to record his own music, rather than host and sing on other artists tracks. From there he went into the studio and recorded "It's All Kosha Vol. 1", linking up with Wiley and Danny Weed to create his debut single "I Need You". An unmatchable work ethic has seen him sell 40,000 CDs independently, and whilst hustling his CD at shows and on the streets of London he crossed paths with John Turner, CEO Seventy Recordings. Blown away by whole package Kosha had to offer John quickly signed him up with Seventy, becoming their 3rd signing on the label roster.
Kosha has a very distinctive and unique style, his ability to effortlessly sing and rap, interchanging between the two in his very own twang with the same level of skill is one of a kind. His most recent projects have seen him work with Lexus and Forte on a number of tracks, including "Another Way". Kosha is now currently in the studio working on his debut album with a whole array of producers, set to be unleashed on the world later on this year.
