A little about me and why I made this site.. I am 25 yrs old with a daughter who is 4. I choose to be an advacate for this cause because it is something that is very important and personal to me. I feel very strongly about it and want to let everyone know how serious Domestic Violence and abuse in general is. Domestic Violence is one of the most dangerous calls a police officer can go on. It is nothing to take lightly. It affects millions of homes a day, millions of children are subjected to this millions of people are killed by this. So please if you are in a bad situation or if you think you may be in a relationship that fits this catagorie please talk to someone.

How many children are abused and neglected in the United States?
Each week, child protective services (CPS) agencies throughout the United States receive more than 50,000 reports of suspected child abuse or neglect. In 2002, 2.6 million reports concerning the welfare of approximately 4.5 million children were made.
In approximately two-thirds (67 percent) of these cases, the information provided in the report was sufficient to prompt an assessment or investigation. As a result of these investigations, approximately 896,000 children were found to have been victims of abuse or neglect—an average of more than 2,450 children per day.
