About Me

The UTEP Marching Band is one of El Paso's most valued "team." We are good at what we do and get down with it. Nothing can stop us from showing off our talent. Even though we don't compete, we know we give good competition to any other band. We have fun with our music and our shows, we are chilled, relaxed, but when its time to perform, we are ready. But of course no band is complete without a dance team, so we have our wonderful GOLDDIGGERS! We accept anyone who wants to be a member of this band. This band is one big family which looks out for each other. Band Members: The band is under the direction of Dr. Curtis Tredway and Dr. Steve Wilson. Over the years, the band has grown to over 250 members, and by the year 2008, it should be well over 300 members.
Influences: DCI's Blue Devils, Cavaliers, Blue Knights, S.C. Vanguard, The Cadets, Phantom Regiment, Spirit of JSU, Carolina Crown, Madison Scouts, and others we might have missed.
Sounds Like: We have our own unique style, we dont copy other bands out there!
