Born Jose Salazar but known to his brothers by Zay and by J. Roca on the mic. The Prophet was born and raised educated in Hip Hop culture. Not only does he rap, but writes, sings, and dances. Born and raised in Miami, FL. His parents wanted to move him away from all of the gang crime that is Miami. Once in Nashville, The Prophet spent most of his time in the inner city. Using Hip Hop and break dancing to stay out of trouble, J. Roca developed a very unique and versatile style. The Prophet believes in real hip hop, no gimmicks!. The prophet being of hispanic descent also does a little reggaeton, but has not recorded any yet. And will also branch into R&B eventually. His music is about real life experiences and emotions, never about shallow materialistic gimmicks. The Prophet has overcome many obstacles in his life and wil continue to strive.
