Cheryl Ladd, born Cheryl Stoppelmoor, was born and raised in Huron, South Dakota. Cheryl spent her childhood focused on singing, dancing, and acting. While in high school, Cheryl sang with a local group called "The Music Shop," which brought her to Los Angeles upon graduation. The band eventually broke up, but Ladd stayed in L.A. intent on pursuing her dream of becoming an actress. In just a short time, she got her first professional break as the singing voice of 'Melody' on the cartoon series, "Josie and the Pussycats." In the early seventies, Cheryl appeared in commercials for Max Factor, Prell Shampoo, and Ultra Brite Toothpaste. She also made guest appearances on several hit television shows. She finally got her big break in 1977 when she was chosen to be "Charlie's Newest Angel" Kris Munroe on "Charlie's Angels." During her "Charlie's Angels" success, Cheryl signed with Capitol records and released five albums.
