Shonte is a stimulating singer-songwriter and dancer vastly influenced by artistic greats Aaliyah, Mary J Blidge, Missy Elliot and more. Singing and performing since the age of 4, Shonte has developed a mesmerizing stage presence that entrances and captivates audiences at each stop often raved about by friends, family, fans and critics.
Combining professional vocal training and advice, Shonte is continuously developing her genre. Her distinctive transcendent vocal qualities are comparable to those of Kelly Rowland and Aaliyah. Shonte is truly an artist that amazes, inspires, and matures with each performance.
Shonte was born in Bellflower CA and grew up in a church environment and in many different cities and states such as Compton CA, North and South Carolina and Corona due to the separation of her parents but now resides in Anaheim CA. No matter where she lived she always practiced her music and kept her passion strong. Shonte boldly stands out as an individualist, determined to share her love, passion, and music with the world.
Shonte took part of the indie edge radio showcase on (99.5 fm hosted by Zoe Alexis). This segment is from one of the most popular Christian radio stations all over the United States. Because of the music and lyrics of the songs, she was hand selected by Zoe Alexis to present her song on air and interview with her.
Her talent reaches far beyond her vocal ability Shonte is a performer. Every lyric that falls off of her lips is put in motion with her ability to choreograph and free dance to all genres of music. The only description that can be put in to words to describe her performance is “Music in Motionâ€. Shonte’s dancing is often compared to Ciara as well as a twist of Chris Brown due to her krumping ability. She has appeared in many videos and a regular on a dance tv show “The Dropâ€
Her modeling abilities as well reach far beyond beauty. She is well trained, prompt and professional with a runway walk that depicts what the essence of a professional model should be.
She has appeared live on Tyra Banks Show in Los Angeles as a model where she did an on stage photo shoot and runway walk. She has done unlimited amount of hair, fashion shows and photo shoots with industry professional and recently returned from New York where she took part of a photo shoot with Ebony Taylor of Americas Next Top Model.
She has a God given talent to set the tone, harmonies and rise to life separate syllables in the lyricists’ rows of text that ends up affecting people, both consciously and unwarily.
