Describing their music style as a blend of melodic obscurity with a touch of jealous rage that's tasted sweet revenge or just simply "music to tap your foot to" the band has succeeded in turning some heads through expression in music.
Coming from the ashes of the now defunct band denial and its demise in 98', former bandmates, Joe Ybarra, Jesse Cavazos and Javi Hernandez came together in 2001 once more to regroup and find a new way to better express themselves. Ideas began to mesh and songs began to take form as the band spent the year exploring new ground and composing new material. Now finding a name seemed the finishing touch. Enter, eyes shut. In early 2002, the band released their first recorded output titled Time and Again produced by former denial bandmate/Slow Grind drummer/John Garcia and eyes shut. Although landing only a few shows in the Valley due to the different musical manner, the album was still being sold and heard by many including some in the rock/metal scene. By 2004, Time and Again would have established the bands name locally and would soon be considered an act standing apart from others at the time. The band quickly found themselves writing new material while facing a couple of line-up changes along the way.
Since then the local scene has changed quite a bit for better or worse. Some people like to think eyes shut had a part in it as well as somewhat paving the way for others on the same wave, but the band always comes back with the same answer..."Our goal is to "create" for those wanting to listen and for those who share the same love and appreciaition for music. Love it or leave it."I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
