Ingmar Bergman, legend, icon, the very face of serious filmmaking. Since the earliest stages of his childhood in Uppsala, young Bergman showed a great interest in the concept of film. This childhood curiosity soon became intense passion. The love he held for cinema never faded and never will. He once said at the age of eighty seven, "Over sixty years and Ive still got the fever". A self-confessed aethiest, Bergman did not believe in life after death. But through his astounding contributions to international cinema and artistic culture, Bergman has left a fragment of his soul that shall exist among us forever. His unique directorial style has influenced countless directors, accomplished and aspiring, including myself. He will be missed, but the world of film will hold his work in our hearts and carry on his spirit through our lenses. God bless you Ingmar.Ingmar Bergman
