About Me

This space is the opportunity me to express my poetry (blog), music and photography to those who look, read & listen...So it's not a band space...
The Images serve as expressions, produced in reaction to subejcts that concern or that interest me. The words are an extension of that expression...
Tracks Note:
Metronomic 2/New Way. Arranged and performed by EM, Ian Thomas, Adam Jones & myself.
Mother/Soft Comfort/Bring Back Today. Arranged & perfomed by Metaphoric with myself on drums.
Being John Lennon/Standing on the Wall. Written by C.Russell, arranged & perfomed by Morning Sparks with myself. These are my favourite tracks from when I was playing drums with the band.
Please find my poetry & other rants in my Blog or here:
Is this the contemporary picturesque?
My landscape work is based around a study of the landscape.
It is a retrospective viewpoint, looking at what has happened, rather than what can be, but all the time is meant to show how the land exists with its treatment rather than without. It shows the hidden as part of an experience rather than ignoring it in search of postcard views. The study is not intended to show the land in a negative light, more to focus onto the negative aspect as a motif & how it exists within a location. The work aims to challenge the assumptions that people have of how ‘good landscape’ should look, compared to how it is treated; to present this reality as an environmental aesthetic & to hopefully raise awareness of our concept of social morality which, is especially poignant in today’s environmental climate.
Metaphoric, 2005
