On those occasions when I am not working, you'll find me doing things like....
Anyone and everyone who shares a common interest. Heck, even some of those who don't. Hit me up about whatever.
As for the more celebrity type, we all have our heroes and folks we admire for one reason or other. Here are some of mine that I would love to meet.
My new girlfriend.... Gina Carano
STEVE YZERMAN
My hockey hero. A superstar on the ice and a model of professionalism and poise, on the ice and off. Happy retirement.

FRANK MIR
My favorite MMA fighter...recent struggles be damned. The antithesis to the modern misconception that surrounds MMA fighters, Mir is the model of the cerebral fighters. Brains and braun. Nasty...

Mir vs Tank
GREG GIRALDO: I think he is absolutely the funniest comedian on the circuit today. His social perspectives and middle age insights are hilarious and frighteningly true.
If you haven't heard his CD "A Good Day to Cross A River", you have to add it to your list of things to do. You'll thank me later.....
KAY HANLEY
The former lead singer of the tragically overlooked 90's alternative band Letters to Cleo, Kay has been kind enough to continue making music to appease her fans like myself. Armed with an enchanting voice and a keen mind, Kay is an icon in the making. Now if I can only convince her to make a tour stop somewhere in the Ohio region. What if I say please ??
BERNIE KOSAR
The man whose name is still synonymous with the Cleveland Browns. All of those great memories when the Browns were one of the leagues best teams...yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that was quite awhile ago!! You can never take the memories away from me!!! I actually had the honor of "meeting" Bernie at a Browns game back in 1992. He was gracious enough to sign my program, shake my hand and thank me for making the trip just to see the Browns.
I definitely want to meet the guy who took this picture!!
Go BROWNS!!!
-- My Favorite Fighters --
Frank Mir - Antonio Nogueira - Renato 'Babalu' Sobral - Matt Serra
I am very much into music. I've got my favorites, the old reliables if you will, but I'm always on the lookout for good tunes. I know they are out there, you just won't find them on MTV or the radio these days. The CD's I am currently into:
"Don't Look Away"
- Kate Voegele -
This girl has the goods. Love the voice, love her style and love her writing. As a whole, it's a little poppier than I usually listen to but good is good and this album is darn good.
-------
"The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter"
- Josh Ritter -
Americana, folk-rock, folk-pop...it's pretty tough to classify. How 'bout we just call it really da-- good. Think Bob Dylan with much improved enunciation. Now sprinkle in a touch of Ryan Adams and a pinch of Bruce. Finally, pretty it up real nice and it will be better than the records those others have put out in the last few years.
-------
"District Line"
- Bob Mould -
Truthfully, this CD doesn't come out until February 5th (make a note) but I'm putting it up here early out of anticipation and belief that it will be typical Mould greatness.
A clickable montage of my self-described "classics"...
Some of my favorite artists:
King's X
Shawn Mullins
The Indigo Girls
Dishwalla
Rilo Kiley
Aimee Mann
Dar Williams
Pete Yorn
Harem Scarem
My Movie Wall of Fame
I don't get to watch a lot of television but I try to make time to keep up with...
This used to be the area where I would whine and lament about my lack of reading time. Alas, things are looking up for me here. I've found myself able to lose myself in some fun reads lately. Currently occupying my eyeballs...
Ooops....my bad. My eyeballs are currently reading.....
What can I say....I'm old and bored with today's rehashed fiction. Sooo, I'm reading Eric Hoffer instead. Briefly, it's about individual and sociological evolution of the mind as we encounter and either adapt or reject change.
Oh yeah....I don't want to forget to pay homage to my Calvin and Hobbes collection and those Far Side books that I reread on occassion. Who couldn't use a good laugh??
If anyone has some good recommendations....I'm all ears, or would it be eyes??!!!
